New AI advancements led by an ever-faster innovation pace, the race from companies to adopt generative AI at scale, and upcoming AI regulations, urge the industry to commit efforts towards a safe and responsible adoption of the technology.
Alinia AI is proud to become a member of the AI Alliance, an international consortium focused on collectively advancing safe and responsible AI rooted in open innovation. We join thought leaders committed to cutting edge and safe innovation in the AI space.
As part of our commitment to the AI Alliance, we will participate in two Working Groups. The Trust & Safety Working Group, focused on understanding trust and safety risks, and building tools, methods, and benchmarks for detecting and mitigating those risks. The Advocacy Working Group, supporting regulatory policies that create healthy, sustainable, and open ecosystems for AI, fostering responsible and ethical AI practices.
“Alinia was born out of the need to ensure safe and controlled deployment of generative AI. This is a major challenge that cannot be addressed in isolation, but rather by joining forces with top minds in the industry. We seek to foster a collaborative and open research approach to safety and ethics in generative AI”, says Ariadna Font Llitjós, co-founder & CEO at Alinia.
“Companies are concerned about current regulatory uncertainty around AI. On top of that, safety techniques required by upcoming regulations, such as evaluation at scale for specific industries, are something new for the majority of companies. When it comes to deploying gen AI, companies want to make it right, but need guidance”, says Carlos Munoz Ferrandis, co-founder & COO at Alinia.
Partnering with the AI Alliance will enable Alinia to progressively share expertise on both regulatory policy and safety tooling, and at the same time, benefit from other members’ knowledge on the matter. The ultimate goal is to have a positive and beneficial impact in the industry and society.
